English Tree (the "App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our users. The App and its services are the sole property of Modern Skills Centre (Nuthana Nipunatha Kendraya) and Tharindu K. Jayasinghe.

Data We Collect

Authentication Data: Name, email address, and profile picture collected securely via Email or Google Sign-In authentication protocols.
Learning Progress: CEFR test results, vocabulary scores (XP), grammar/speaking levels, and daily learning streak data.
Device Information: Anonymous diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics) and push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging - FCM) to facilitate lesson reminders.

How We Use Your Data

We process your personal information only to support and enhance your learning experience:

Personalize and optimize your gamified learning experience.
Maintain engagement incentives (streaks, reminders, and lesson notifications).
Display public leaderboard rankings to encourage communal progress.

Crucial Protection: We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes under any circumstances.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. However, please note that no digital storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we do not guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase services to run our database and authentication processes. Their data collection and handling practices are governed independently by their own policies.
